Job Description:

SpaceX is seeking an ambitious and dynamic Space Technology Sales Manager to drive the commercialization of our cutting-edge space technologies. This role involves developing and executing sales strategies, building relationships with industry partners, and promoting NASA’s innovative solutions to a global market.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets for NASA’s space technology portfolio.
  • Identify and engage with potential clients, including aerospace companies, government agencies, and research institutions, to promote and sell NASA’s technologies and services.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, fostering long-term partnerships and collaboration.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive landscape, and leverage this information to inform sales strategies.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and proposals to prospective clients, showcasing the value and benefits of NASA’s technologies.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements, ensuring favorable terms and compliance with NASA’s policies and regulations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including engineering, marketing, and legal, to ensure successful project delivery and client satisfaction.
  • Track and report on sales performance, providing regular updates to senior management and adjusting strategies as needed to meet targets.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Proven experience in sales, business development, or account management, ideally within the aerospace or technology sectors.
  • Strong understanding of space technologies and the aerospace industry.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute successful sales strategies and achieve revenue targets.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and leverage market opportunities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team, managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Passion for space exploration and a commitment to advancing NASA’s mission and objectives.
