Job Description:

SpaceX is seeking a highly skilled and innovative Satellite Development Engineer to join our advanced satellite development team. This role involves designing, developing, and testing state-of-the-art satellite systems to support our ambitious goals for space exploration and global connectivity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop advanced satellite systems, including communication payloads, power systems, and structural components.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including avionics, propulsion, and software engineering, to ensure successful integration of satellite systems.
• Conduct simulations, analyses, and testing to validate satellite designs and performance under various space conditions.
• Develop detailed engineering documentation, including design specifications, technical reports, and test plans.
• Participate in the planning and execution of satellite deployment missions, ensuring successful launch and operation.
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in satellite technology and incorporate relevant innovations into designs.
• Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior engineers and project teams.
• Present project updates, technical findings, and performance metrics to senior management and external stakeholders.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field (Master’s or Ph.D. preferred).
• Extensive experience in satellite development, with a strong background in design, analysis, and testing.
• Proficiency in satellite simulation and modeling tools, such as STK, MATLAB, Simulink, and CAD software.
• Strong knowledge of satellite communication systems, power systems, and structural engineering.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to develop innovative solutions for complex engineering challenges.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills, with experience working in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.
